Campus Features

Our beautiful 10-acre campus, located in the heart of Mill Valley, California, just across San Francisco's Golden Gate Bridge, is close to nature and features views of Mt. Tamalpais and the Richardson Bay. The campus consists of 15 one, two and three story buildings. These are interconnected so residents can easily go from one building to the next to dine, join in activities and visit with friends in any level of living.

Indoors, resident's enjoy a large dining area, an extensive library, an activity room for painting, ceramics and drumming, an auditorium for meetings, movies, presentations and performances, and a number of comfortable and inviting resident lounges for gathering with friends or simply relaxing with a good book.

Outdoors , residents discover well maintained walking paths throughout the campus that lead off site to nearby wetlands as well as beautifully landscaped campus grounds to wander through and enjoy. We have a large organic garden that supplies flowers and delicious fresh produce for our programs and for residents who do their own cooking. The beautiful grounds include many gardens, trees, walking paths and sitting areas, views of the marsh and surrounding areas, and a large common patio for outdoor gatherings. All living units have their own balcony or a private patio.

On-campus facilities provide a wide range of convenient services close to home for our residents, including a full service beauty shop, multiple laundry areas and a popular consignment shop. We also provide transportation services for both local trips and excursions in the greater Bay Area, a guest room for relatives and friends and free, fast and reliable wireless Internet services. We maintain a healthy smoke-free environment and, unlike many retirement communities, small pets are welcome in our Independent Living and Residential Living apartments.

Nearby shopping and services are plenty with a large grocery store, dry cleaner, massage and spa services, coffee shop and other retail and professional services available just across the street. A short walk away is the Mill Valley Community Center providing a variety of family and senior programs and trips, and swimming and exercise classes. An easy one mile walk from our campus is downtown Mill Valley with its many restaurants, stores and abundant village charm.
